An Andhra-based couple met with a horrific road accident near Lakshmipura Cross in Srinivasapur Taluk of Kolar District. The couple in the car died on the spot.
The deceased couple have been identified as Shafi (55) and Shama (50) of Madanapalli in Andhra Pradesh.
The car was going from Bangalore to Madanapalli. The mishap took place when the daughter, who was going abroad, was being dropped at Bangalore International Airport and was on her way to Madanapally in Andhra Pradesh.
The car fell into a 20 to 25 feet ditch on the right side of the road at Lakshmipura Cross in Srinivaspur. As a result, both the couple died on the spot. Gaunipally police visited the incident site and conducted an investigation.
